The mismatch between schooling and job skills is bigger than expected -seen in Australian Newspaper, Higher Ed supplement 23rd Feb
Have we developed a prejudiced presumption that education outcomes should corelate with job skills?
If so, is this reinforcing the idea that work is more important than anything else in life? Do we really want our children to believe that?

Just as a FYI:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nursing assistant jobs will increase by about 19 percent by the year 2018. Home health aides are projected to have the quickest job growth, as many people desire in-home treatment as a preferable alternative to hospital or nursing home care. Also as an added bonus, nursing assistant jobs in hospitals and nursing homes are still expected to grow faster than the average for all careers.
